Green set to seal West Ham return

The 35-year-old, who spent six years at Upton Park from 2006 to 2012, is close to agreeing to a free transfer back to the Premier League to compete with Adrian.

QPR goalkeeper Rob Green is set to rejoin West Ham on a free transfer, Goal UK reports.

The 35-year-old spent six seasons at Upton Park, being named the club's player of the year in 2007-08, but left for West Ham's London rivals in 2012 after failing to agree to terms over a new contract.

Green was Harry Redknapp and Chris Ramsey's first-choice goalkeeper as QPR was relegated from the Premier League last season and has featured in all three of the team's matches this season.
