Former Chelsea striker advises Manchester United manager in making summer signings

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has advised Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal to sign a forward in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils had Radamel Falcao – who was on loan from AS Monaco – Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and James Wilson as the four first choice strikers in the squad last season.

Van Gaal decides against signing Falcao on a permanent transfer, who joined Chelsea on a season-loan earlier this summer. The former Arsenal striker was allowed to leave Old Trafford as he completed his transfer to Turkish outfit Fenerbahce.
