Ferran Torres set to miss Barcelona’s clash against Espanyol with suspected appendicitis

Barcelona will reportedly have to cope without Ferran Torres against Espanyol on Thursday after the Spain star was taken to hospital with suspected appendicitis.

The Spain star, who is in the midst of his best ever season, was taken to hospital for tests and is expected to go under the knife.

According to Javi Miguel of AS, it’s means Torres’s season is over and he won’t play again for Barcelona in 2025-26.

Robert Lewandowski is therefore likely to replace him in the starting XI and lead the line in the Catlan derby after recovering from a hamstring injury.
