FC Barcelona News: 18 August 2020; Barca to appoint Ronald Koeman, elections in March

Ronald Koeman will replace Quique Setien as Barcelona manager. The Dutchman could be presented at the club on Tuesday.

Barcelona presidential elections have been called from March 15 next year. The club say it’s unfeasible to call them now because of Covid-19 and the season starting on September 12.

Eric Abidal has escaped being sacked by Barcelona. The club feel he can play a role in their recruitment process ahead of the new season.

Andres Iniesta has sent a message to Barcelona in the wake of their thumping by Bayern Munich. He wrote on Twitter: “We’re always together as we build the best club in the world.
