Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde was full of praise for Lionel Messi after his team’s 5-1 win over Lyon. He told reporters: “We’re all very focused on the Champions League, Leo as well. The amazing game Leo had today was incredible.”
Lionel Messi’s Panenka penalty against Lyon was his third for Barcelona. He’s also scored them against Getafe in the 2014/15 season and Villarreal in the 2016/17 campaign.
Luis Suarez is not worried by his lack of goals in the Champions League. He is without a goal in Europe this season but is happy to have helped his side into the quarter-finals with a fine display.
