Ex-Marseille defender Habib Beye in contention for Dijon Sporting director role

Former Marseille and Senegal centre-back Habib Beye is one of the names in consideration for the role of sporting director at Dijon.

According to FootMercato, Les Rouges are looking to fill up the position which has been vacant since July 2019.

42-year old Beye - who is presently a consultant with French TV channel Canal+, is also up against retired DR Congo left-back Herita Ilunga.

Former Dijon midfielder Eric Carriere was reportedly approached by the club, but he turned down the opportunity.

Beye's career spanned 15 years playing for Paris Saint-Germain II, Marseille, Newcastle United and Doncaster Rovers.
