Eibar sporting director Fran Garagarza has admitted the club want to keep Marc Cucurella who is on a season-long loan from Barcelona.
The 20-year-old is enjoying a good campaign with Jose Luis Mendilibar’s side and has become a regular in the team.
He shone in Eibar’s 3-0 win over Real Madrid in November, having a hand in all three goals, and Garagarza said the club would be happy to pay his purchase option.
“Seeing the performance of the boy and his quality, if they asked me now what I would do, I would tell you that we would pay the option to buy, (which is) far less than 5 million euros.
