Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has revealed how a text from Frank Lampard convinced him to stay at the club after a difficult start to life in England.
"The guy who single-handedly convinced me to stay was Frank Lampard," writes Drogba in his new autobiography, titled Commitment (via Oliver Todd of the Daily Mail), before recalling the all-important message. "Hi DD, I hope that you're staying, because we have to win the league together, and we have to win the Champions League together!"
The Blues did just that in 2012, with Drogba playing an integral part in the triumph.
