Bayern Munich defender David Alaba says it is an “honour” to hear of reported interest from Barcelona.
The Spanish champions have been linked with a move for the 27-year-old, as they seek to strengthen their options at left-back.
Alaba was asked about Barca ahead of Bayern’s International Champions Cup match against AC Milan.
“Of course, it’s an acknowledgement, it’s an honour for me,” he said.
”My focus is fully on Bayern here in America and on pre-season. I want to concentrate on the essentials.”
It remains to be seen just how accurate the reports are linking Barcelona with Alaba, although he will have competition for his place at Bayern next season following the arrival of Lucas Hernandez from Atletico Madrid.
