Barcelona youngster Dani Rodriguez is expected to miss pre-season after undergoing shoulder surgery in May.
The Catalans confirmed at the time that Rodriguez would miss “three to four months” and he will miss the pre-season tour to Asia.
According to Diario Sport, the plan is for Rodriguez to be fit in time to play for Spain at the Under-20 World Cup in September.
The tournament is due to start on September 27 in Chile, and Rodriguez is hoping to get the nod for the competition.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is said to be willing to wait for Rodriguez after giving him his first-team debut at the club.
