Damm, Alanis and Molina out as Mexico World Cup roster is cut down to 24

The Mexican federation announced on Saturday that Jurgen Damm, Oswaldo Alanis and Jesus Molina were not included in Mexico’s World Cup squad ahead of their trip Denmark.

Mexico coach Juan Carlos Osorio has until June 4 to reduce the squad from 24 to 23, but injuries remain a big concern for the 56-year-old tactician. Andres Guardado, Diego Reyes and Hector Moreno all remain out through injury and there is real concern if they will be at 100% come Mexico’s first World Cup game against Germany.

One player still looking in is Pachuca midfielder Erick Gutierrez.
