Cruz Azul crushed the Vancouver Whitecaps in the CONCACAF Champions Cup by a 5-0 score to win the North American club title for a seventh time. Cruz Azul gave a dominating performance, especially in a superb 1st half to get a historic victory. Cruz Azul made up for their disappointing loss in Liga MX against Club America by winning a title and qualifying to the next FIFA Club World Cup in 2029.
The first half started with Cruz Azul coming out with their best lineup while Vancouver was missing Sebastian Berhalter, who was suspended because of Yellow Card accumulation.
