Coronavirus: Caf postpones 2020 African U17 Women's World Cup final qualifier

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has indefinitely rescheduled the final qualifying round for the 2020 U17 Women's World Cup, which was set to take place in May, owing to the Covid-19 outbreak.

The doubleheaders between six African teams were initially fixed to be two-legged ties on May 1-3 and 15-17 following their first-round triumphs in March.

However, Caf in a letter to African member associations on Friday through acting general secretary Abdelmounaïm Bah, said the body's decision was reached in a bid to counteract the spread the coronavirus pandemic.
