Comets beat Chicago and the weather to stay undefeated

The Missouri Comets had to get past the weather and travel before beating the Mustangs

The Missouri Comets remained one of only two undefeated team in MASL and moved to 5-0 Sunday night when they defeated the Chicago Mustangs 9-5. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday but the Comets were unable to get to Chicago because of the weather.

Once the game was played, both teams played tight defense and there was no score until midway in the first quarter when Chicago got on the board. That was the only goal of the first but the Comets took charge in the second quarter with goals by Vahid Assadpour, John Sosa, Ramone Palmer, Lucas Rodriguez and Max Touloute to take a 5-1 lead into halftime.
