The first leg of the final between Club América and Toluca ended in a scoreless draw at the Ciudad de los Deportes Thursday night. While the night was supposed to be about the players the star was the referee who missed out on multiple crucial calls. VAR did not intervene either. Now the Aguilas need to put this terrible night behind them as they will travel to ‘El Infierno’ as Toluca hosts the second leg where everything will be on the line.
Both Toluca and América moved with intensity in the first 10 minutes as both were looking to place pressure on the defense to make errors.
