Chicago Fire sign Trinidad and Tobago defender Cyrus

The Chicago Fire have added the right back ahead of the MLS transfer window closing.

The Chicago Fire have added a back-line reinforcement as they look to make a last-gasp push at a return to the postseason.

Chicago announced the acquisition of Daneil Cyrus on Thursday, signing the defender on loan from Trinidad and Tobago side W Connection. Per MLS policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 24-year-old started three matches at right back for Trinidad and Tobago during the CONCACAF Gold Cup last month. He played two MLS matches during a loan to Sporting Kansas City in 2011.
