Capital One Cup 2015: Final 2nd-Round Score, Recap and 3rd-Round Fixtures

Everton twice came back from the brink of defeat to eventually beat Barnsley 5-3 after extra time and advance to the third round of the Capital One Cup. A brace from Romelu Lukaku helped spare the Premier League side's blushes.

Barnsley initially stunned the Toffees by going two goals in front. Striker Sam Winnall and forward Marley Watkins gave the League One side a strong advantage at half-time.

Toffees boss Roberto Martinez started Chelsea target John Stones against his former club, with the London club's interest reported by Dominic Fifield of the Guardian.
