Canada announces roster for U-20 camp, Panama friendlies

An initial 24-man squad will be pared down to 20 players ahead of the match later this month.

Canada Under-20 coach Rob Gale has announced a 24-man training camp roster ahead of a pair of friendlies against Panama later this month.

The initial camp will take place in Toronto before moving on to Panama for matches against the host country Jan. 19 and 21. Only 20 players will travel to the Central American nation for the two friendlies.

"This camp gives us another chance to expose our players to the environment that we expect to face in qualifying," Gale said in a news release Wednesday.
