Braithwaite scores as Denmark advance to Euro 2020 quarterfinals with impressive win over Wales

The Euro 2020 knockout stages began in Amsterdam with a Round of 16 match between Wales and Denmark, and the Danish are through to the quarterfinal stage thanks to an impressive 2-0 win with a brace from Kasper Dolberg and Barcelona’s Martin Braithwaite playing all 90 minutes.

The Welsh were very good to start the game, with a 15-minute barrage of attacks and Gareth Bale looking unstoppable with his pace and skill, and he came close to scoring with a powerful shot that went just wide.

Then Andreas Christensen moved from the backline into the midfield, Denmark gained control of possession and the game completely changed.
