Bayern Munich and Germany legend Bastian Schweinsteiger has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 35 following the conclusion of Chicago Fire’s 2019 season.
The regular season came to an end over the weekend and Fire failed to make the MLS playoffs after finishing eighth in the Eastern Conference.
