Lamine Yamal’s 18th birthday party continues to create headlines following criticism from the Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism about the use of dwarves at the celebration.

Spain’s Ministry for Social Rights has reportedly requested an investigation into what happened to determine if any breaches of disability laws took place at the even.

The Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo, has now spoken out about the party and been critical of the Barcelona teenager.

“I believe there are much better ways to enjoy the celebration than by abusing the most vulnerable people,” she told the media, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
