Spain boss Luis Enrique and captain Sergio Busquets both spoke at a press conference on Saturday and took time out to defend Eric Garcia.
The 20-year-old has been on the receiving end of some criticism after the 2-1 defeat to Sweden and after being sent off in Barca’s 1-1 draw with Athletic.
Luis Enrique has responded to Garcia’s critics and has insisted he has total confidence in the youngster ahead of Spain’s clash with Georgia on Sunday.
“I don’t agree with some criticism, he’s started the season brilliantly,” he said.
“He didn’t play much last season, he’s in perfect shape.
