Barcelona will finish the weekend in sole possession of first place in the La Liga table with a one-point lead over Atlético Madrid thanks to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Real Sociedad at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium on Sunday afternoon. After a difficult start the Blaugrana took complete control after Sociedad went down to 10 men, and cruised to an easy win to stay top of the table with 12 games to go.

Barça had to navigate a difficult start to the game as Sociedad came out with a solid gameplan with good pressing and quick passing and movement, and they almost found the opener just three minutes in but Sergio Gómez’s goal was ruled out for an offside in the buildup.
