Barcelona to make a major sale? Joan Laporta opens up on possibility of ‘painful departures’

Barcelona president Joan Laporta says he’s hoping the club can avoid making any major sales this summer to balance the books.

Barca have been tipped to potentially make a major sale but Laporta is hoping that will not be necessary, although he did admit there “are too many players in some positions.”

“What there will be are savings in terms of salaries. Pablo Torre has already left, and there are others yet to be finalized, but a sale of that size, I don’t think, will happen, even though there are proposals.
