Barcelona are reportedly preparing to inform La Liga that goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen will be out for four months after undergoing back surgery.
According to AS, the first report prepared by Ter Stegen’s surgeon Amélie Leglise has already confirmed the news.
Barca will now submit the relevant documentation to La Liga’s Medical Committee in a move they hope will allow them to release Ter Stegen’s salary.
The club must also add further evidence and has 30 days to do so. LaLiga’s Committee of Experts will then deliver a verdict after assessing the documentation.
If all goes well, Barcelona will then be able to use 80% of Ter Stegen’s salary to register new signings which will be a big boost ahead of the start of the new La Liga season.
