Barcelona president Joan Laporta has offered his reaction to the statement Ronald Koeman made at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.
The Dutch coach refused to answer questions at the presser and instead read out a statement asking for patience while the team is being rebuilt.
Laporta said he only found out at the last minute what Koeman had planned but insisted he respected his coach’s decision.
“We found out at the last minute that he wanted to do it, the coach has the obligation to go to press conferences and he is free to answer questions or express himself as he sees fit,” he said.
