Barcelona midfielder Rafinha set to miss four months with knee injury

Terrible, terrible news for Barcelona and Brazilian midfielder Rafinha Alcântara, who is set to miss four months after undergoing an arthroscopic surgery on the internal meniscus in his right knee, the club announced on Friday.

The diagnosis is much worse than initially expected, and now the Brazilian will also miss the upcoming preseason tour in the United States.

Rafinha suffered the injury in the first few minutes of last Sunday's La Liga match against Granada. The Brazilian has had the best season of his Barça career, with seven goals in 28 appearances across all competitions.
