Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen could miss four months if he undergoes back surgery

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is said to be considering going under the knife to cure a back problem that has been affecting the stopper.

The Germany international has been training away from the squad in the first few days of pre-season, and it’s claimed the back problem is the reason why.

According to Diario Sport, if Ter Stegen does decide to go down the surgical route he will be ruled out of action for four months.

It’s therefore a really big decision for the goalkeeper to make as it would keep him out of action until the end of the year.
