Barcelona have reportedly decided to give up on plans to swap Antoine Griezmann for Saul Niguez this summer, according to multiple reports.
Both Ara and Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Barca have pulled the plug on the potential transfer after deciding “it’s not a good move.”
The reports state that Barca wanted a bit more than just Saul in return for Griezmann, particularly as the midfielder’s level has dropped. Barca still need to play off €72 million of Griezmann’s signing and basically don’t think it’s a fair swap.
The salaries of both players has also been an obstacle to any deal.
