Barcelona confirmed on Thursday that Ousmane Dembele will undergo surgery on Tuesday on the torn hamstring suffered in training this week.
The Frenchman had returned to training in January after being sidelined since November but now faces more time on the sidelines which is a big blow for both club and player.
Here’s the official statement:
“FC Barcelona player Ousmane Dembélé will undergo surgery on Tuesday, 11 February in Turku, Finland, to treat a rupture to the proximal tendon of his right hamstring.
“Once the operation has been convluded, further information will be given regarding his approximate recovery time.
