Barcelona manager Xavi Hernández knew he would get a lot of questions about Gavi’s season-ending knee injury suffered while in Spain duty, and the boss did his best to avoid creating any controversy with the national team and instead focused on how much he and the team will miss the young midfielder.
Xavi praised Gavi’s personality and courage, and like many other coaches and players in recent weeks the boss blamed the demanding schedule at club and national team level for the injury.
