Barcelona-bound Vitor Roque may need surgery on ankle injury

Vitor Roque is set to undergo surgery on an ankle injury sustained playing for Athletico Paranaense and is likely to be out for three months.

The Brazilian was stretchered off in tears after picking up the injury and it’s expected he will now need surgery, according to ESPN.

Tests have been conducted on the Brazilian’s injury and it’s been found that he has ruptured ankle ligaments.

More tests will take place but it’s expected he will undergo an operation. Even if he avoid surgery, it’s still thought he will miss the next three months.
