Barcelona are reportedly at risk of being sanctioned by UEFA after breaching financial rules for the second year in a row.
According to The Times, Barcelona, Chelsea and Aston Villa are all facing action against them, but the Catalans may be handed a tougher penalty as repeat offenders.
The report claims punishments could include a reduced squad limit for next season’s Champions League or potentially a points deduction. However, this seems unlikely with the report claiming it would be “unprecedented.”
Barcelona were fined by UEFA in 2023 for breaking financial rules and fined 500,000 euros for wrongly reporting profits.
