Barcelona have announced they will play Girona in a pre-season friendly on September 16 at the Estadi Johan Cruyff at 7pm CET.
The game is the second pre-season friendly that’s now been confirmed. Barca will kick-off their 2020-21 campaign with a game against Nastic on September 12.
Barca haven’t met Girona for a little while, as the Catalan club were relegated from La Liga in 2019. Girona came close to a quick return to La Liga but were beaten 1-0 by Elche in the promotion play-offs.
Ronald Koeman’s side are due to sit out the first two La Liga matchdays, with their first league game set for September 27 against Villarreal at Camp Nou.
