FC Barcelona and AS Monaco have reportedly resumed negotiations to arrange a loan move for 22-year-old winger Ansu Fati. Talks had stalled due to financial disagreements, mainly over how to divide Fati’s high salary. Barcelona initially wanted Monaco to cover 80%, while the French club only offered 30%. Recent progress suggests a compromise may be reached closer to 40%, though Barcelona is still pushing for a larger contribution from Monaco.
The proposed deal is a one-season loan, possibly with a purchase clause at the end. While Barcelona preferred a mandatory buy option, all parties are now open to making that clause optional.
