Lucas Perez scored a hat trick as Arsenal beat Basel 4-1 in the Champions League to top Group A ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.
Perez hit three goals inside the game's opening 47 minutes in Switzerland, with Alex Iwobi adding a fourth, as the Gunners claimed first place in their group after PSG drew 2-2 with Ludogorets Razgrad in Paris. It is the first time they have topped a Champions League group since the 2011-12 season.
Arsenal needed just eight minutes to open the scoring at St Jakob-Park, with Kieran Gibbs squaring the ball to Perez after being played in by Alexis Sanchez and the Spaniard then converting from close range at the far post.
