FC Barcelona has reportedly missed out on signing rising Spanish talent Antonio Cordero, who has chosen to join Newcastle United instead. The 18-year-old Málaga CF forward, who impressed this season with six goals and six assists in Spain’s Segunda Division, had previously drawn interest from the Catalan club after his breakthrough in 2023.
Barcelona was said to have submitted an offer last summer, but Cordero turned it down, unwilling to settle for a spot with the B team. Despite continued interest from Catalonia, he has now opted for a move to the Premier League, reportedly signing with Newcastle until 2030.
