Andreas Christensen to stay put at Barcelona, for now - report

Andreas Christensen’s agent met with FC Barcelona team officials to discuss his client’s request for more playing time recently. And reports say that the meeting went well, and the Danish defender is in no hurry to leave, at least for now.

With Jules Koundé playing more as a defender, and Íñigo Martínez doing well in the position as well, there’s less time than last season for Christensen.

The club told the defender they trust in him fully and want to keep him for the time being, but a re-evaluation is expected by both parties at the end of the season,

Christensen will have minutes as the season goes on and the club does not rule out renewing his contract, which expires in 2026, next year.
