It took three games, but Club América finally looked like contenders after they defeated Chivas 1-0 to make their way to the final with the hopes of winning the bicampeonato. The first half was not their best but they came alive in the second half and that was where they attacked. Now they are 180 minutes away from their 15th title where they have the chance to win at home once again.
Chivas started the action in the sixth minute after Roberto Alvarado sent a pass to Ricardo Marin who sent his shot towards goal but the shot was too soft and ended in the hands of Luis Angel Malagon.
