Ally McCoist wants the Scottish Premiership to complete its campaign as there is still a chance that Rangers could catch Celtic

Former Rangers manager Ally McCoist wants the Scottish Premiership to complete its campaign, insisting that there is still a chance that Rangers could catch Celtic at the top of the table.

With 13 points clear at the top of the table ahead of Rangers, the Parkhead outfit are favourites to land the title again, and a majority of the Scottish top flight clubs have already voted to end the season and declare them champions.

Hoops fan Sir Rod Stewart has blasted Rangers for being “childish” after insisting that the campaign must be completed once it is safe to do so, claiming he would want Celtic to give the Light Blues the league if they were 13 points in front with only eight games to go.
