Carles Alena was a notable absentee from Barcelona training on Tuesday evening as the team were finally able to train after seeing their initial session postponed after two members of staff tested positive for Covid-19.
The midfielder was given permission by the club to miss the session and is reportedly closing in on a loan move to Getafe. A deal for the 23-year-old could be announced this week.
Barcelona did welcome back Samuel Umtiti after illness. The center-back missed the trip to Huesca at the weekend but will travel for tomorrow’s game at Athletic.
Midfielder Ilaix Moriba also took part in the session once again and is becoming something of a regular fixture in first-team training at the moment.
