Agent reveals Neymar was "very close" to signing for PSG on richest transfer in history

He signed an extension with Barça, but Neymar could have been in Paris by now

Neymar Jr. will return to Barcelona this week after the completion of the international break, but he could have been headed to France.

The Brazilian superstar was on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain, but eventually decided to sign a two-year extension with Barça that will keep him at the club until 2020, his agent Wagner Ribeiro revealed in an interview with ESPN Brazil.

The numbers of the transfer are astonishing. PSG would activate Neymar's €190 million release clause, which would be the biggest transfer fee paid in history — Paul Pogba just moved to Manchester United for a little over €100 million.
