He never played for the club, but Mike Jacobs, formerly an assistant technical director for Sporting Kansas City has been named the first general manager for Nashville’s expansion team, coming into the league in 2020. Jacobs had left Sporting last fall to join Nashville SC as their technical director. It’s a move with an eye towards this eventuality in mind for the club.
