According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the 20-year-old will head to Netherlands on loan, and the move is as good as done.
The move doesn’t come as a surprise as Chelsea have strengthened their forward option this summer by signing Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi from Marseille. The youngster, who established himself as a useful back-up option last season, would have naturally fallen behind Diego Costa, Batshuayi and Loic Remy in the pecking orders.
Ajax are currently managed by Peter Bosz and the former Vitesse manager wasted no time in signing a player he knows very well.
