SMU quarterback Ben Hicks completed 27 of 37 passes in the Mustangs' win over UConn this past weekend, throwing for 280 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.
SMU head coach Chad Morris said on the American Athletic Conference coaches call that he felt it was Hicks' best performance of the season, though he wants to see the sophomore show more consistency with his accuracy.
"Over the first five games, I think Ben's best performance was this past weekend," Morris said. "I know he missed on some throws and was high on a few but just his grittiness, his toughness.
