Why Arkanas State contest will teach us a lot about the 2017 SMU Mustangs

UNIVERSITY PARK -- When SMU head coach Chad Morris addressed his team in the visitor's locker room of Amon G. Carter Stadium, moments after the Mustangs' first loss of the season, one part of his message stood out to quarterback Ben Hicks.

"Don't let TCU beat you twice," Hicks relayed to reporters shortly after.

Which brings us to Saturday's game, at home against Arkansas State. The Red Wolves are no team to overlook, having been to six straight bowl games and coming a Hail Mary short of overtime on the road against Nebraska in this year's opener.
