SMU spring practice has come to a close. Outside of that odd week in December in which newly-appointed head coach Sonny Dykes was both trying to recruit and coach the team for the Frisco Bowl, spring ball was Dykes' first extended exposure to his new team.
So, what did he learn about the group that he didn't know before?
"Well I think the biggest thing is they had a great attitude," Dykes said on the American Conference coaches call on Wednesday. "When I got the job here I just said, 'Look, we want this to become one of those football programs where you have to earn your job every day.
