UNIVERSITY PARK -- During SMU's annual kickoff luncheon in August, receiver Courtland Sutton was called on stage for an interview with SMU play-by-play man Rich Phillips. When the conversation turned to the Mustangs' 38-16 win last season over Houston, Sutton couldn't resist a jab at SMU's in-state rivals.
"We gave 'em a little butt whipping," teased Sutton, drawing laughs and applause from the few hundred SMU fans filling the Hilton Anatole ballroom. "To 20 piece them, it was amazing."
It's Houston week again for SMU, with the Mustangs heading down Interstate-45 for the annual matchup with the only other Texas school in the American Conference.
