Fall football camp is as much about learning playbooks and cultivating chemistry as it is about setting a tone for the season. The coaching staff needs to help foster relationship between units and keep everyone having fun as the team prepares for the grind of the regular season.
So SMU's turnover celebration at practice is a cool feature of this year's fall camp. From the looks of the video below, after each forced turnover at practice the takeaway artist gets to dunk the football into a trash can with "SMU Defense 2017" spray-painted on the side of it.
