Here's the first roundup of how 2018 SMU commits performed in their high school games this past weekend (stats provided by high school coaches):
Wide receiver Michael Woods: The three-star Magnolia product had a monster game to start his senior season. Woods caught nine passes for 269 yards and four touchdowns, including a 63-yarder, in a 52-47 loss to A&M Consolidated. As if that wasn't enough, the 6-foot-1 receiver who committed to SMU in February added two runs for 16 yards and an additional score.
Running back TaMerik Williams: Williams, a senior at Angleton who committed to SMU on Saturday, had 13 carries for 118 yards in a 31-0 win over El Campo.
